Practicalities and confidentiality
If you would like to explore the possibility of embarking upon therapy we
will normally offer you an assessment consultation to meet and explore your
issues and decide whether you are able to work together. If you contract to
work together you will normally be offered a regular session of 50 minutes
weekly on either a short term or open-ended basis. The contract normally involves
deciding the agreed day and time of sessions, the cost of the fee as well as
arrangements for holidays, cancellations and methods of payment.
Therapy is a confidential process between the client and the therapist. The
therapeutic work of is supervised by a senior practitioner. Confidentiality
can only be broken in serious circumstances e.g. when the life of the client
or another is considered to be at risk.
We have information and provide referral to other appropriate local therapy
services.
Fees
Fees for services to organisations will be negotiated on an intervention by
intervention basis depending upon the duration, number of staff seen and location.
Counselling fees are for 50 minute sessions usually after an assessment consultation
of up to one and a half hours.
Equal opportunities and ethics
We subscribe to the Ethical Framework and complaints procedure of the British
Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). In addition we hold professional
membership of the Foundation of
Psychotherapy & Counselling (FPC) and subscribe
to its code of ethics.
Our therapists have undergone their own therapy. We are committed to equal
opportunities and do not discriminate on grounds of class, gender, race, religion,
marital status or sexual orientation.
